I wanted to take the opportunity to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! My wish is for you to relax, enjoy, and savor all the flavors the season offers. I’m giggling because in these ‘flavors’ I’m including all of the flavors of humanity that will cross your path. Without those who are so different from us, we would live in a soup with much less texture, color, and flavor.
I’m hoping this season will hold more compassion for our differences and to see the differences as complimentary instead of problematic. Entering into the holidays standing on the truth that each person sees a world that is unique to them, we can create space at the table for everyone.
Thank you very much for being a part of this community. It has been a gift and a pleasure to share fun times with you.

It’s a beautiful summer day in Houston, Texas this morning. The skies are full of smoky gray clouds and rain is falling hard. Enjoy and relish this day.
I just received news about a treasured friend’s health. I’ve followed their journey and all they have done to extend their hours on the ground. As I finished reading their latest news this mantra popped into my mind, ‘enjoy and relish this day.’ This mantra is just one more gift I’ve received from knowing these friends.
It’s innocent enough to be distracted by tending your current circumstances. It’s also innocent enough to believe the right circumstances will bring you a better moment. As innocent as this dynamic is, you could spend lifetimes trying to get things in place and NEVER find your happiness in your circumstances. Are you going to wait for things to be in their place or will you seize your hours on the ground to enjoy and relish this day?
This truth, peace is never in the circumstances of my life, brings me so much joy and hopefulness. Why? Because it lets me know that it’s available to me now and quick working for it. What a relief!
Enjoy and relish this day.

Here we are at the end of 2020!
I think this year speaks volumes about RESILIENCE. Resilience is your innate ability to rise to the occasion. Whatever the occasion is. It’s the spiritual nature of life that delivers to you unseen abilities in the exact moment that you need them. I know for a lot of us this year has served up plenty of surprises, losses, and unimaginable circumstances. Some so unimaginable that if you could have imagined them you would surely believe you couldn’t survive them. But you do.
Resilience is a gift we all carry, and it is at the ready when we need it. With that in mind, you can relax with what the New Year will bring and put your attention on what you would like to explore in 2021. What would you like to play with? I’m going to spend some time considering what would plump my heart and what are the qualities of a life well lived. These things will be put in my recipe for a meaningful 2021.
I would like to express my deep appreciation to each of you for participating in so many great events and conversations this year. I hope the New Year greets you with a big smile!

A few days ago, I planted some sunflower seeds in a cup. I had these on hand because I volunteer on the horticulture committee of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. Yesterday morning, I noticed the seeds had broken ground in the little cup sitting in the window. This morning, I noticed a whole load of seeds had sprouted and some others had grown an inch!
At that moment I saw how the nature of life moves forward regardless of the circumstances. A seed sprouts. What makes that happen? The sprout grows without visibly being seen. At another moment we see growth!
This dynamic Mother Nature is displaying, not only happens in nature, it happens in you. This ‘germination’ has happened in you when you get that nudge or niggle to do something, try something, play with something. Engaging with the slightest inspiration is like watering and feeding a seed. We have no idea if it will bear fruit or reap a huge harvest. The leverage for playing with inspirations is to get involved with the inspiration and stop watching to see if it’s growing. If following inspirations becomes a new normal, before long you look up and you’re experiencing a very different world, right where you started.

In life we look for answers. We look for answers to all our questions and solutions to support us in feeling FREE in our lives. How many places have you looked?
The answer lies within you. I know you’ve heard that so many times before; said in many different ways, but nobody tells you how to realize it in yourself and live from it in your life.
In this coaching and Intuitive Painting workshop you will experience what separates you from hearing your inner wisdom/ intuition and what stops you from acting from it. Intuition is a natural part of being human. It is another intelligence that is available to you just as your intellect is. Why not use both!
The studio is free of critiques and comments. A studio free of comments supports full creative expression. This process is about creative expression with no demand to make art. No experience is necessary.
Intuitive Painting is available virtually! It’s not a problem if you don’t live near the studio. We come to you via Zoom. You will be painting alongside the painters in the studio.
