Resting in the Big OK

How’s your staying-at-home going? Are you finding fresh inspirations, time to rest, or no time to rest? You might be noticing how the mind muzak you live in has told you, time and time again, a litany of things that you would do, if you had the time do them. Now you have the time and you’re not drawn to do them, or maybe you are?
I think this is a time of rich opportunity for each of us. This time could be an invitation to drop below the normal mental muzak of ‘shoulds’ and ‘suppose tos’ and listen to the depths of your wisdom. The wisdom that funds us all. It’s a very simple and practical wisdom. “What makes sense for me to do right now?” That’s it!
I encourage you to let go all of the ‘shoulds’ and ‘suppose tos’, giving them as much attention as you give to the change of the wind’s direction and settle into what feels best to you right now. Maybe it’s rest, sitting outside, doing something, or doing nothing. Making whatever you find yourself doing, A-O-K! The land of A-O-K is a sweet place to live. You’re FREE from taking all the self-judgment and report cards on how you’re doing, seriously.

I hope you enjoy the extraordinary gift of an ordinary life!
Sending smiles,
Cherie

One Day Intuitive Painting Retreat: Intuition & Finding Your Wisdom Within

One Day Intuitive Painting Retreat:
Intuition & Finding Your Wisdom Within

Saturday, January 18th, 10am-5pm central standard time

In life we look for answers. We look for answers to all our questions and solutions to support us in feeling FREE in our lives. How many places have you looked?

The answer lies within you. I know you’ve heard that so many times before; said in many different ways, but nobody tells you how to realize it in yourself and live from it in your life.

In this coaching and Intuitive Painting workshop you will experience what separates you from hearing your inner wisdom/ intuition and what stops you from acting from it. Intuition is a natural part of being human. It is another intelligence that is available to you just as your intellect is. Why not use both!

The studio is free of critiques and comments. A studio free of comments supports full creative expression. This process is about creative expression with no demand to make art. No experience is necessary.

Intuitive Painting is available virtually! It’s not a problem if you don’t live near the studio. We come to you via Zoom. You will be painting alongside the painters in the studio.

Your True Home

I came across this and thought you might like it. Sometimes, it appears to me that people avoid creating and following inspirations because it’s often an individual exploration. But this essay, to me, states what’s on offer by saying YES. I believe creating takes you beyond your current ‘self’ and ‘Inspiration’ is an invitation from the Big Kahuna to grow and expand.
YOUR TRUE HOME
Each one of us is alone in the world. It takes great courage to meet the full force of your aloneness. Most of the activity in society is subconsciously designed to quell the voice crying in the wilderness within you. The mystic Thomas a Kempis said that when you go out into the world, you return having lost some of yourself. Until you learn to inhabit your aloneness, the lonely distraction and noise of society will seduce you into false belonging, with which you will only become empty and weary. When you face your aloneness, something begins to happen. Gradually, the sense of bleakness changes into a sense of true belonging. This is a slow and open-ended transition but it is utterly vital in order to come into rhythm with your own individuality. In a sense this is the endless task of finding your true home within your life. It is not narcissistic, for as soon as you rest in the house of your own heart, doors and windows begin to open outwards to the world. No longer on the run from your aloneness, your connections with others become real and creative. You no longer need to covertly scrape affirmation from others or from projects outside yourself. This is slow work; it takes years to bring your mind home.

Light-hearted? Tis the Season

The holidays are HERE! Are you ready for what this season brings? Maybe it’s just me but I know my expectations, preferences, and story book images of the season can surely get in the way of seeing the gifts that sit right before my eyes.
When I watch kiddos, they get this game. They are very light-hearted about the holidays. They are ready to roll when the lights come on. What can be learned from this observation?
My suggestion? Take a double dose of ‘taking things lightly.’ Pack your sense of humor and take it with you everywhere you go. The old adage, “Don’t leave home without it.”, is some of the best wisdom to remember during this holiday season. Another tip? Check your preferences at the door. Everybody has preferences (and they are rarely the same) but they needn’t be a reason to break connection. They may get met and they may not, but don’t wait on that to have a good time connecting with the ones that matter most to you in your life.
A heart full of love feels good, I know it and you know it. A mind full of unmet expectations and preferences feels icky. We all have a choice. What feels best to you. The good news is you get to pick.
I want to wish you the very best! I love knowing you and having you in my life.
Happy holidays,
Cherie

If I Can See It, You Can See It!

Just this week I was asked to share what I do, exactly, with my clients. This question offered me the opportunity to step back and see what matters most to me in my commitment to who I work with; so, I thought I’d share it with you.

In my work, I support clients to:
  • Understand and discover their True self.
  • See how all human beings fundamentally operate and to understand the spiritual nature of life.
  • Understand where their experience comes from.
  • Understand that every person possesses innate well-being and wholeness. No one is broken.
  • See how state-of-mind dictates experience and behaviors.
  • Orient to the nature of life which is infinite in potential and possibilities.
  • See where burn-out comes from and how resilience can take its place.
  • Learn via insight instead of struggling to figure things out. The answer will never be found in striving.
  • Understand that peace and harmony are never attached to the circumstances of life.
  • Learn how to live easily, naturally, and creatively.
  • Learn how to live fully expressed, seeing opportunities, and saying YES to life.

In this moment of reflection, to state the inspiration that moves me in my work, I would say to live peacefully and harmoniously in this great mystery, called life. I certainly didn’t always see that we (me included in this we), are designed and equipped for whatever this mystery brings us, but I do now. What a difference that makes! This is what I want every client to see for themselves.

I feel very fortunate to support executives, teams, individuals, groups, couples, teens, and families in living more connected, inspired, and peaceful lives.

Sending smiles,
Cherie
